Process consultant, facilitator, coach and trainer with deep expertise in participatory planning, consensus building, conflict resolution, and change management.

In 2006, he founded Gerardo de Luzenberger sas, a firm specialized in participatory planning, training, organisational development and change.

He is also the founder of the International school of Facilitation, a global training initiative on facilitation, participatory planning and project management.

He teaches courses on participatory approaches and facilitation techniques at several Italian universities and has been an Adjunct Professor of Participatory Project Management at the University of Trento (Faculty of Engineering) since 2007.

A committed member of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF), he became a IAF - Certified Professional Facilitator | Master (CPF|M). He is a founding member of the IAF Italy Chapter and has served on the IAF EMENA leadership team from 2013 to 2018.

He is an IAF CPF Assessor and, since January 2019, has served on the IAF Global Board as Director of Professional Development, as Vice-Chair and Chair.

He holds certifications in Agile Foundations from the Agile Consortium and is a Certified Facilitator in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methods.
